Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – A consortium of the Czech company Philibert and the hotel company Vile Oliva controlled by businessmen Zarko Rakcevic, has offered €10 million for a 56.48 percent stake in the Igalo-based Institute "Simo Milosevic" and €27.94 million in investments in the existing facilities.

Executive Director of Olive Oliva Petar Rakocevic has said that €22 million of the planned investments would be spent for reconstruction and adaptation, while medical equipment and training of the staff would cost €5 million and €944,000 respectively.

"This will result in an upgrade of the first and second phase to a four-star and Tito's villa to a five-star level," Rakcevic said at a press conference, adding that all investments would be made within five years.

After the opening of bids for a controlling interest in the Institute, he said that the project would be implemented in phases, without interrupting the continuity in the functioning of this company.

"Our partner is aware of the obligations towards the employees and the bid includes a statement that the branch and general collective agreements that have been signed and are in effect in Montenegro will be observed," said Petar Rakcevic.

Zarko Rakcevic said that the main business of the Institute would be medical tourism, while the implementation of the Healthcare Fund's programme would continue.

He said that there were no plans to build residential apartments and change the main activity of the Institute.
