Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Employers' Federation (UPCG) has welcomed the Government's decision to adopt the bills on administrative and local utility charges, saying that it shows the openness of the policy makers for cooperation with representatives of the business sector, which is the only good approach to the decision making process.

The President of this business association Svetlana Vuksanovic told Mina-business agency that the UPCG welcomed the adoption of these two legislative proposals.

"These bills incorporate a good deal of recommendations and comments we have been sending to the Ministry of Finance for years. The UPCG's recommendations underlined the need to decrease certain charges and fees at the local level, and eliminate the ones that are duplicated or not adapted to the actual situation in the business sector," said Vuksanovic.

According to her, the UPCG hopes that the Government would maintain the same course in the process of improvement of other business conditions.

"We hope the Government will not surprise us by introducing new or increasing the existing levies," said Vuksanovic.

She said that the entrepreneurs were additionally encouraged by the fact that the Government's decision came after it had received two UPCG's documents dealing with fiscal and para-fiscal charges at the local and national level.
