Potential for improvement of trade to be used
*
Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – It was concluded at a meeting of ministers and senior government representatives from the region that the Western Balkan countries were good partners in the trade in agricultural products, which is why it was important to use the potential for improvement of their mutual commercial activities and increase the volume of trade with the EU Member state.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development says in a press release that the ministers and senior government representatives from the region discussed this issue at an event held during the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture in Berlin.

The participants in the meeting concluded that further development of trade in agricultural products was a challenge they should address together on the basis of the results achieved within the framework of CEFTA agreement and trade liberalization defined by the EU accession agreements.

The State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Djuro Zugic, has said at the event that the majority of trade in agricultural products was carried out on the basis of the CEFTA agreement.

"This shows how important we are to each other as trade partners and how important it is to preserve what we have been working hard for," said Zugic.

According to him, a free trade zone was created through the CEFTA agreement, which is a great success jointly achieved by the countries of the region.
