Interest rates decrease again

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The weighted average effective interest rates for granted loans, including all related costs, decreased by 0.02 percentage points in November to 6.37 percent.

According to the statistics of the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG), published in its Bulletin, the weighted average nominal interest rate declined by 0.01 points in November to 5.78 percent.

In this period, the banks’ effective interest rate for newly granted loans decreased by 0.46 percentage points to 6.46 percent, while the nominal one dropped by 0.31 points to 5.83 percent.

Both effective and nominal interest rates of microfinance institutions (MFIs) increased by 0.03 points in November to 24.38 percent and 20.61 percent, respectively.

The effective interest rate offered by the MFIs for newly granted loans increased by 0.04 percentage points to 25.27 percent, while the nominal went up by 0.06 points to 21.19 percent.

The weighted average effective interest rate for deposits remained at 0.58 percent in November.

In this period, the difference between the interest rates for loans and those for deposits declined to 5.79 percent.
