Motorway to be paid off by future generations
*
Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Network for Affirmation of NGO Sector (MANS) believes that the motorway construction project is undoubtedly one of the greatest risks to the sustainability of Montenegro's public finance.

According to this NGO, it is clear that the future generations will pay a very high price for the project that has been contracted in an irresponsible and unacceptable way.

Coordinator of the Public Finance Programme at MANS Ines Mrdovic says that Prime Minister was not persuasive at the Parliament when he tried to convince the citizens that the construction of the first motorway section between Smokovac and Matesevo would not cost a single euro more than defined by the agreement.

She says that Markovic deliberately failed to mention a series of additional costs, which will considerably increase the budget for this investment.

Mrdovic says that Markovic failed to mention the works that were not included in the main design, but must be carried out in order to make this motorway section functional.
