Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – At a meeting with Ambassador of the United States of America (USA) Judy Rising Reinke, the Governor of the Central Bank (CBCG), Radoje Zugic, said that Montenegrin banking system was stable and strengthened.

He informed her about the situation in Atlas Bank and the activities carried out by its interim administration.

Zugic presented the main macro-economic data and state of play in the banking sector, as well as the CBCG's activities aimed at strengthening the regulatory framework and supervisory capacities, and improving the mechanisms for countering money laundering and terrorism financing.

The CBCG says in a press release that the meeting was attended by founder and director of the Adizes Institute from Santa Barbara, Ichak Adizes, and Deputy Head of Political and Economic Section at the U.S. Embassy, Kyle Hatcher.

"The officials expressed their readiness to contribute to the strengthening of relations between Montenegro and the U.S.A., particularly in the field of economy," the press release says, adding that entrepreneurship and small business were recognized as the fields in which the U.S.A. could provide support to Montenegro.
