Additional support available to farmers

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The farmers involved in the production of autochthonous varieties of plans and/or autochthonous cattle breeds are entitled to additional support based on the special measures of the agricultural budget aimed at preserving Montenegro’s genetic resources in the field of agriculture.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development says in a press release that the additional support is provided in the form of payments for the arable land and breeding cattle meeting the criteria defined by that measure.
“The farmers involved in the production of autochthonous varieties or breeds who are willing to cooperate with the institution in charge of genetic resources by supplying materials and provide the necessary information are entitled to support,” the press release says.
The Ministry says that the application deadline is 30 June.
