The Ministry says in a press release that the public consultations on the proposed piece of legislation are currently under way, adding that this is an updated version of the previous draft discussed in February and March.

“The bill has been developed in line with the directives and best practice of the European Union Member States, and it focuses on addressing certain issues in the public procurement system in Montenegro,” the press release says.

The proposed bill introduces a new public procurement concept, based on the efficiency, strengthening of transparency, and overall improvement of this policy.
