Strengthening of regional cooperation very important

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Director of the Tax Administration Miomir M. Mugosa has said that the strengthening cooperation and following good practice at the regional level is very important, especially bearing in mind similar historical context in the region and expectations of the international community.
At a meeting with representatives of the tax authorities of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized as a follow up to previous cooperation in the field of electronic fiscalization and exchange of experiences related to the effectiveness assessment, he said that the experiences of Croatia and Slovenia, which were part of the Balkan region and the EU Member States, were particularly valuable.
The Tax Administration says in a press release that the visit of representatives of the Croatian tax authority is a result of the previous communication related to the electronic fiscalization, and the exchange of valuable experiences in the implementation of this project.
Representatives of the Croatian Tax Administration presented the benefits of electronic fiscalization related the improvement of the risk assessment, efficiency of tackling the informal economy and revenue collection.
According to a press release, this was an opportunity to discuss the dilemmas related to some of the technical issues pertaining to the electronic fiscalization project, allowing its successful implementation of prevention of potential challenges during this process.
