Becici, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Director of the Tax Administration Miomir M. Mugosa has said that the tax administration reform project is expected to relieve the administrative burden and increase the level of adherence to the tax regulations, which would in turn reduce the tax gap.

He said at a regional summit of the governors, finance ministers and heads of tax administration, organized in Becici by the weekly magazine NIN, that the Government had invested a lot in the tax administration reform project, given the importance of the tax authority for the public finance.

The Tax Administration says in a press release that Mugosa had presented the activities carried out in the comprehensive reform process, including the modernization of work processes, investment in the information technology, and ensuring a greater autonomy and reorganization.

He said that the purpose of the reform was to establish a modern tax administration capable of responding to the market demands and ensuring a high level of public revenue collection.

This is the eight summit organized by the weekly NIN, under the institutional aegis of the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Administration.

The main topic of this year’s event is financial and monetary stability of the region amid slower economic growth in the eurozone.
