Livello di Nice
Ciascun processo viene eseguito con una determinata priorità chiamata livello di nice.
Un processo a priorità alta avrà più tempo CPU rispetto ad un processo con priorità minore, così sembrerà girare più velocemente.
Cambiare il livello di nice di un processo ha senso solo per quei processi che fanno un uso intensivo della CPU, considerando che molti programmi che passano molto tempo in attesa di qualcosa (come l'input da parte di un utente) non riceveranno alcun beneficio dall'aumento della priorità.
